Tasks and targets: We organize a number of activities that give an opportunity to many people to spend their time entertaining. Our actions help to awake love to life and inspire positive emotions. Life becomes brighter, more intensive and full of amazing energetic. We aim to make a source of this energetic out of our participants. Out friend Andrey Lazarev possesses such energetic. His first try in skiing was in 2004. It was an awkward stem-plough and hundreds of fallings with curses (like everybody who starts skiing). The next years, he went to the Carpathians four times a season. Then he not only rode perfectly but even could manage the camera while skiing. In 2005, he tried rafting for the first time. For now, he has rafted on almost all the rivers of Ukraine that are available for this sport. Besides, there are a lot of bicycle and speleological trips in the list of his activities. He founded the X-Lifestyle sport club that unites many extreme sport lovers. All this time, Andrey was seriously ill. However, he never stopped to look at a fence. Even when he was weaker than the others, he found energy and conquered new peaks. He never gave up! In the end of April of this year, he was made a diagnosis that could cross out his future. So, the purpose of our activities is to attract attention to this problem in order to help Andrey. Information about ways to help Andrey – http://saveandrey.com/eng/help We want to help Andrey Lazarev now and try a lot of rafting, bicycle and speleological trips in future together with him. VeloQuest – it is a team game, where players use their wit, intelligence, imagination, luck and bicycle, and overcoming a distance for fixed time. During the game, you will move from point to point indicated by the promptings. You have to carry out all the requests of the agents on the points. Also, there will be rivalry with the opponent teams. You will ride dozens kilometers of adventures making up with the fancies and decisions of the panel of judges. As a result, your rucksack will be full of positive emotions and you will be waiting for the next game for the whole next week in order to turn the pedals towards wind and new adventures. VeloQuest Regulations: Date : 21.06.2008 Team registrations: 11:30 - 12:00 Place : near the arc Drujbu Narodiv (above the Europeyska square) Team consists of 2-3 members (lonely players will be united in teams on the start) Team participation fee: 150 hrn (all the collected money will be transferred to Andrey’s treatment) Preliminary registration: email: katrusiamur@gmai.com and tel. numbers of the organizators. Example of the preliminary registration letter is the following: Team: “Pokemons” Leader: Serge Popov (tel. 8(097) …) Players: Ann Hatavey, Liz Martin… Game Description: VeloQuest is an active adventure game, where players travel either using bicycle or walking (using another kinds of transport is forbidden). Using wit, intelligence, knowledge, strength and dexterity, the players have to overcome the route of the game for the minimal time. The game contains sequence of points and tasks that are joined with a single scenario. Solving the task, a team have to come to the secret point and meet an agent. The agent will not contact the team until he will hear the password. If all the members of the team come to the agent then he gives another puzzle. When the team comes to the point and the agent is busy with another team, then this time is considered as bonus. The players are prohibited to spoil, replace and vanish the promptings and tasks of other teams. If the team or a player of the team left the game, the team has to let the organizers know this including the reason for such decision. Promptings and their cost: “Small” – the organizer answers the question as “Yes” or “No”. The cost of this prompting is 10 minutes. “Middle” – partial solving of the task like naming the street where the next task is located. The cost of this prompting is 20 minutes. The organizers say the promptings on the phone. Every team can have 1 prompting for free. In order to use the prompting, the team haves to call the organizers, name their team, kind of prompting they need and ask their question. Equipment and security: Obligatory equipment: - bicycle (for each player) - helmet - Kyiv map - mobile phone Recommended equipment: - pocket money - bag or backpack. Each participant accounts for his health and property personally. Each participant refuses to lodge a complaint against organizers, agents and other teams. Each participant have to observe the rules of the road. When the team comes off the game, it have to let the organizers know. Winners: The winner is the team which was the first who rode the route considering number of used promptings and received bonuses, fines. (all the collected money will be given to Andey’s treatment).
