DIAGNOSIS: CONNECTIVE TISSUES CANCER OF 4TH STAGE WITH METASTASES IN LYMPH NODES AND LIVER
This winter Andrey started to feel bad. The body temperature could suddenly rise up to 39 degrees. Doctors prescribed different treatments and checkups, but the symptoms wouldn’t disappear. In a vicious circle doctors sent Andrey from one doctor to another, many tests were done over and over again. However, the precise diagnosis was not set…..... Instead of consulting between themselves and sharing their doubts with their colleagues, doctors confidently prescribed treatment against different diseases that could have similar symptoms. As a result, in the last 4 months Andrey’s immune system has been almost killed. This is because he had to take hormones and antibiotics to fight all sorts of parasites and inflammations.
On March 24th, 2008 Andrey had an abdominal surgery. As a result, a rather big tumor (5 cm) was discovered on his lymph node, which was already spreading into his bowels. The precise diagnosis was set only in a month - malignant hemangiopericytoma, in other words, a cancer of connective tissues of 4th stage with metastases in liver. Such case happens once in a million and, unfortunately, Ukrainian doctors failed to detect the disease in its early stage and let is progress. Andrey’s immune system was weakened to the extent that he could not start the chemotherapy, which would kill him.
Much time was wasted, but there is a hope! The effective treatment is possible in the clinics in Germany and France. These clinics are the only ones that have developed the methods and have necessary technology for the treatment. Most importantly, these clinics have experienced specialists, who are able to cure Andrey. The clinics have agreed to take Andrey for treatment, but the price of such treatment is between 70 000 and 135 000 EUR. Andrey cannot afford to pay for his treatment.
